Data Management

 Manages input data used by the GeoCyber system. The GeoCyber System supports various types such as:

  • SEGY 2D/3D
  • Well Layer
  • Well Log in LAS/Free Columns
  • VSP in ASCII
  • Well Deviation
  • Horizon
  • Attribute

    Computation

    Computation provides algorithms for seismic data processing targeted for reservior analysis and characterization. The algorithms in this category are computationally extensive. Results can be viewed after computation.

    Decomposition

    Multiple wavelets seismic trace decomposition is an algorithm to decompose a seismic trace into multiple wavelets of different shapes. It currently allows the use of multiple Ricker wavelets and user generated wavelets of different frequencies. It provides a solid foundation for more detailed and in depth understanding of the seismic data and high capabilities for analyzing the reservior indicators for reservoir characterization.

    Phase Rotation

    Seismic Phase Rotation is a classical algorithm that rotates the phase of a seismic volume for a given degree. The multiple wavelets decomposition shown above uses zero phases Ricker wavelets and user wavelets. If your seismic data is not zero phase and you have a reliable estimation of the phase of your seismic data, you may use it to rotate it to zero phases before applying the multiple wavelets decomposition to the data.


    CyberMap

    CyberMap is a working base map. It is designed and implemented to support seismic interpretation and integrated reservoir analysis. It also provides some limited mapping abilities.

    CyberMap has the following functions:

  • Display multiple horizons and attributes layers
  • Support seperate color spectrum for each layer
  • Powerful color spectrum editor for RGB color and transparancy fuctions 
  • Create and delete cross sections and AOIs.
  • Post seismic survey location, well location and its layer property, AOIs, and cross sections.
  • Select an inline, cross line or a cross section and send it to be displayed in SeisProbe and SeisInterp.
  • Receive and display seismic horizons and attributes from SeisProbe

    SeisInterp

    SeisInterp is a  2D seismic section display and interpretation tool. Seisinterp can only takes original seismic data. It is designed  and implemented for quality control and for viewing the seismic sections with limited interpretation capabilities.

    SeisInterp has the following functions:

  • Display original seismic data with multiple horizons
  • Create and delete new horizons using an interactive picking tool
  • Powerful color spectrum editor for RGB color and transparency functions
  • Post seismic survey location, cross section, AOI, and well location and its properties
  • Receive and display inline, crossline, and cross section to be displayed from CyberMap
  • Send seismic horizons and attributes to be displayed in CyberMap

    SeisProbe

    SeisProbe provides, based on the decomposed seismic data, a comprehensive set of methods for direct identification of reservior indicators, analysis of reservoir lithofacies distribution and characterization of various reservoir property. Most of these methods are developed on top of the decomposed seismic data. In addition, it is fully integrated with CyberMap which allows the user to instantly view the results.

    SeisProbe has the following functions:

  •  Output various data as SEGY format 
  •  Post seismic survey location, cross section, well location and its properties
  •  Powerful color spectrum editor for RGB color and transparency functions
  •  Displaying decomposed sesmic data and multiple horizons
  •  Provides various functionalities to allow seismic traces reconstrucion including: wavelet selection, spectrum and attenuation analysis, wavelet frequency change vs depth, volume waveform decomposition and seismic attributes extraction
  •  Send seismic horizons and attributes to be displayed in CyberMap
  •  Recieve and display inline, crossline, and cross section to be displayed from CyberMap

    Cyber3D 

    Cyber3D is an interactive 3D tool for integrated reservoir analysis using the decomposed wavelet data volume.  

    Cyber3D has the following functions:

  • Wavelet selection and reconstruction of a new seismic volume; computation of dominant frequency versus time data volume; power spectrum and spectrum attenuation data volumes; volume-based waveform decomposition components data volumes
  • Instant display of data volumes in various modes such as line, cross line, arbitrary line, time slice, frequency slice, cube, volume, chair, and a combination of multiple display modes
  • Display well logging data along trajectory
  • Display multiple horizons, horizon attributes, seismic amplitude of horizons, and horizon bounded seismic slices
  • Movable horizon seismic slices.
  • power spectrum and attenuation spectrum display along horizon and moving horizon slices.
  • Real time RGB color and transparency editing for data volumes and attributes.

     CyberSyn

         CyberSyn is a new module which allows users to display the well log data and extract a wavelet in conjunction of well logging data. The wavelet is then can be edited and be used to generate a wavelet series for seismic data volume decomposition.





     Wavelet Manager

          WaveletManager is an arbitrary wavelet edit tool. It provides various tools to allow users to edit the wavelet and generate a wavelet series by the principle of wavelet stretching and squeezing. The wavelet series can then be used for seismic data decomposition
